The City of Lincoln Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work with the Void Support Team based at Hamilton House on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will support the team with the process from when a tenant terminates their tenancy, right through to a new tenant being signed up. They will also support the Void Repairs Team in raising the repair schedules and recharges. The role includes creating Tenancy Agreements and new tenant packs, uploading recharge evidence and liaising with external contacts.

Key responsibilities:
– Work under the general direction of the Void Support Team Leader by providing an efficient service that meets identified outcomes, proactively receiving and dealing with enquiries, and resolving issues in so far as possible.
– Provide administrative support to the Void Management teams including updating IT systems and processing of information.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
– Ability to negotiate confidently and effectively.
– Experience of working directly with the public.
– Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to deadlines and changing demands on time.
– Experience of working in an office environment undertaking a variety of administration tasks or equivalent e.g. voluntary sector or Housing Association.
– Knowledge of basic law and how it relates to allocations and council tenancies – e.g. tenancy agreements, allocations, sign-ups.
