We’re looking to appoint a Receptionist to join our Small Business Support team at our Managed Workspace business centres based at The Terrace and Greetwell Place.
These centres offer flexible office space, tenancy management and meeting facilities for local businesses. As part of the team, you’ll help manage and operate both buildings, acting as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors and users of the space.
In this frontline role, you’ll play a key part in delivering a professional and welcoming service, helping us maintain our high standards of customer care.

Key responsibilities:
– To demonstrate commitment and support for safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
– To provide a first point of contact for tenants, visitors and users of the Managed Workspaces ensuring that appropriate security checks are made and that health and safety advice is provided to visitors when required.
– To operate the telephone switchboard, ensuring that calls are handled quickly and efficiently, dealt with at the initial point of contact if possible, or quickly referred to another officer if appropriate.
– Provide a call handling and reception service for tenants.
– Provide an administrative service to tenants including photocopying, printing and conference room hire.
– Collaborate with the team to ensure meeting rooms are stocked with refreshments and that all necessary building checks are completed, contributing to the overall performance of our contracts.
– Support the supervisor in the overall day to day running of the facility.
– To implement the Procedures Manual for the Workspaces and suggest amendments / provide feedback as appropriate.
– To work in line with the Business Plan for the Workspaces as required and provide feedback as required.
– To undertake such other duties as reasonably required within this post, department or section.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
– Ability to prioritise workload.
– Ability to present a professional image and positively promote the Council internally and externally.
– Ability to deal with enquiries and complaints.
– Ability to transport oneself between both Greetwell Place and The Terrace.
– A minimum of 4 GCSE passes or equivalent including English, unless can provide evidence of relevant experience.
