Transport and Depot Manager

Are you an experienced manager in transport and depot operations looking for your next challenge? Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is seeking a dynamic Transport and Depot Manager to be responsible for our Transport section and Depot at Gresham Road.

 About the Role

As Transport and Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Council’s fleet, workshop, and depot operations. You’ll ensure high-quality service delivery to internal and external customers, overseeing  compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement across the service.

You will play a key role in:

• Managing fleet availability and maintenance
• Overseeing budgets and procurement for relevant projects
• Supporting emergency response and business continuity relevant to the section
• Championing service transformation and environmental sustainability

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in waste and transport/fleet management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• A Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management abilities
• Knowledge of and a commitment to health & safety, equality, and continuous improvement
