Salary: Grade 7 i.e. £36363.00 – £39152.00 per annum

This is a fantastic time to join an ambitious, innovative and award-winning Planning Policy team.

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Spatial Engagement Officer to help us deliver community engagement for the Trent Valley Supercluster – an ambitious, regionally significant regeneration project that puts people and place at its heart.

As a central point of contact for communities, Town and Parish Councils, and local partners, you will help build shared understanding of major projects and ensure that local voices, views, and aspirations are effectively captured and represented.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-person and digital engagement events across the District.
Provide advice, guidance, and support to community groups and partners to enable meaningful participation in the Supercluster project.
Deliver presentations, workshops, and consultations, ensuring inclusive and effective engagement.
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders to coordinate communication and engagement activity.
Undertake surveys, data collection, and analysis to inform planning and reporting.
Support the development and implementation of engagement tools and strategies.
Contribute to project monitoring, budget tracking, and reporting processes.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and skilled communicator, with a strong passion for community engagement and place-making. You will enjoy working collaboratively with diverse groups, be adaptable in your approach, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will need:
A professional qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent).
Proven experience in community engagement and the ability to build trust and relationships across communities.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, including report writing and presentations.
Competence in IT applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, and flexibility to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
