We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated lawyer to join our legal team.  You will provide legal advice and support to the Council and its departments in connection with procurement and commercial contract matters.

The team adopts an agile working policy with flexible working arrangements which includes access to a range of bases as well as remote or home working. The team are very approachable and have developed very strong and resilient arrangements for communication and support.

Key responsibilities of this role are:
•    You will be a practising lawyer (Solicitor Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive) with a good understanding of contract and procurement law including disputes
•    Joining a dedicated and supportive team in Legal Services, you’ll be committed to working efficiently to deliver timely accurate and effective advice.   

What skills and experience do you need to have:
•    To be a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)
•    Experience of drafting legal documents
•    The ability to give clear and accurate legal advice, including training.
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
