Located in mid-Derbyshire, Amber Valley has an enviable and valued tree stock, as well as Local Nature Reserves and numerous sites maintained for wildlife. The Council is seeking a motivated tree professional to assist with the management and further improvement of these wonderful natural assets.  
 
About the job
 
The role includes assisting the Tree & Nature Conservation Officer to provide a first class Arboricultural and Nature Conservation service, including proactively undertaking inspections of the Council’s tree stock within Parks, Cemeteries, Recreational areas and woodlands, prioritising and arranging works with contractors, dealing with Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Area applications, responding to enquiries regarding trees and ensuring that the Council’s legal obligations in relation to trees are met.
