30 hours per week, part time, up to 12 months contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Customer Services Adviser. We require a candidate who is committed to providing excellent customer service. You will be friendly and diplomatic with good communication skills and enjoy working with the public.

As part of a dedicated team, working in a highly pressurised environment, as a Customer Services Adviser, you will ensure the delivery of a first-class and professional front-line service mainly by telephone.

As a first point of contact, you will manage calls and handle a variety of requests, including complex enquiries about council services, such as benefits, Council Tax, refuse and recycling. The majority of calls with be completed from end to end without the need for handing over to back-offices.

Previous experience within a fast-paced call centre or similar telephony-based environment is essential. You will also be an excellent communicator, have accurate IT skills and be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

We operate a ‘hybrid working’ model with a mix of office based, home and remote working available when suitable. The contractual base will be office based with agreed flexibility to work from home or at remote working locations in the borough, once full training is completed. Initially, the role will be office based at Hinckley Hub.
