Support Assistant (ASB)

Are you organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about helping those experiencing anti-social behaviour (ASB)?

We’re looking for a proactive Support Assistant to join our busy Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) Team within the wider Landlord Services team to provide vital administrative and operational support to help us tackle ASB and improve community safety and cohesion.

A Support Assistant for Anti-Social Behaviour is an essential role in ensuring we respond effectively to ASB and support safe, resilient neighbourhoods.

As a key member of the ASB Team, you will:

  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to help manage and investigate ASB cases
  • Maintain accurate case records on our case management systems
  • Assist ASB Officers by coordinating interviews, preparing documents, and supporting meetings
  • Liaise with victims, witnesses, and perpetrators under the guidance of the ASB Team Leader
  • Support the organisation of community safety events, court hearings, and engagement activities
  • Help promote ASB prevention campaigns and contribute to reports and briefings
  • Carry out initial triage contact with victims and signpost to relevant support services
  • Work closely with colleagues across Housing, Community Safety, and external partners to deliver excellent services

 

 

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • A basic understanding of ASB
  • Experience in administrative or customer‑focused roles.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or working within multi‑agency teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Competency with Microsoft Office and other computer systems
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Ability to use own initiative and manage a varied workload
  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
  • A housing‑related qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Able to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer care and promoting the borough positively
  • Willingness to work flexibly and provide occasional out‑of‑hours support.
