Design and Technology Technician

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Design & Technology Technician to support our busy and successful DT department.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with practical skills and a proactive approach to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Design & Technology. 

The successful candidate will support staff and students by:

• Preparing materials, tools and equipment for lessons
• Maintaining machinery, equipment and workshop areas
• Supporting safe working practices and health & safety procedures
• Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
• Supporting practical classroom activities where appropriate
• Ensuring workshops and preparation areas remain organised and safe 

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has practical and technical skills relevant to Design & Technology
• Is organised, adaptable and able to work independently
• Has a good understanding of health and safety within workshop environments
• Works well as part of a team
• Has good communication and problem-solving skills 

Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
