Site and Premises Manager

Alfreton Park School is a lively and successful special school for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with severe and profound learning difficulties. Fixed-Term Opportunity (Approximately 12 Months)

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, well-organised, enthusiastic, and skilled Site and Premises Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract of approximately 9 months to cover long-term staff leave, this post will offer 25hrs per week 52wks per year working 11:00-16:00. Working in a job share arrangement alongside our current Site Manager. This is a vital role at the heart of our school community, ensuring that our site remains a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

As a key member of our operational team, you will take a proactive role in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and site management. Your contribution will directly support the smooth day-to-day running of the school and the wellbeing of everyone on site, making this a highly valued and rewarding position.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in maintaining excellent standards of safety and presentation across the premises.
• Can work collaboratively and flexibly within a job share arrangement, ensuring effective communication with the existing Site & Premises Manager to maintain continuity and consistency.
• Possesses strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Is IT literate and able to manage systems and documentation relating to compliance and site management.
• Is proactive in responding to day-to-day maintenance needs, while also planning and supporting longer-term site improvements.
