Charnwood Borough Council is at the heart of the community. We provide vital services for around 183,000 residents and we’re one of the biggest borough councils in the country based on population.
We provide a wide variety of services including bin collections, open spaces management, the operation of Loughborough’s historic markets, the management of ancient woodland and the running of a theatre, museum and three leisure centres. Charnwood is a thriving and growing borough with a bright future and we want to help make sure it fulfils its potential for the benefit of our local communities. Our Corporate Strategy sets out our priorities to care for the environment, create healthy communities and drive investment into the borough. We also want to develop and improve as a Council.
