Salary: £24,309 – £27,412 FTE

Two exciting opportunities have arisen within the Customer Services team at the City of Lincoln Council for the role of Customer Services Adviser. The role will involve dealing with customers either by phone, e-mail, web chat or face-to-face. Our skillsets include Housing rents and repairs, Revenues and Benefits, Refuse and Environmental Health, main reception and switchboard.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate customer focus and an ability to work efficiently as part of a multi-skilled team. An ability to use Microsoft Office packages is essential.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who are organised, efficient and have a passion for providing high level customer service in a busy environment. The Customer Services Adviser role at the City of Lincoln Council is a career graded post, with a starting salary of £24,309 per annum, increasing to £25,213 – £25,267 once a skillset competency test is passed; further increasing to £25,696 – £27,412 once two skillsets have been achieved.

The following positions are available (please indicate within your application which position(s) you’d like to be considered for):

– Part time (32hrs per week, Mon – Thu @ 6.5hrs and Fri @ 6hrs).

– Part time (22hrs per week, Wed – Thu @ 7.5hrs and Fri @ 7hrs).

Key responsibilities:

– Work under the general direction of one of the Customer Services Team Leaders to deal with queries received from customers and stakeholders across a range of Council services.

– Provide advice and support to the Customer Services Team Leaders to help continually improve the service provided to customers and stakeholders.
