Chesterfield Borough Council is dedicated to enhancing the quality of housing services in our community and is currently looking for a skilled and motivated Business Support Assistant to join our Housing Assets team.

The Business Support Assistant will be responsible for several critical tasks,

including the following: 

  • collating, maintaining, and updating the Asset Management computerised systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • integrating IT and other systems to generate comprehensive reports based on the information collected
  • ensuring the accuracy of a significant volume of information sourced through both electronic and manual means
  • providing essential support services to the Housing Assets Service team
  • making appointments and efficiently communicating with tenants through various channels
  • preparing and presenting statistical reports that identify patterns and trends to ensure data accuracy and validity.
  • candidates should possess a strong understanding of current housing issues and relevant legislation

The ideal applicant will have:

  • the capability to collect, collate, and analyse data effectively, with the skill to produce concise reports.
  • proficiency in ICT systems, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is essential
    excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interactions with tenants, council departments, and stakeholders.
  • Additionally, flexible problem-solving skills and a high level of organisational and administrative capabilities will contribute to success in this role.
