CBC26079 – Job description and person specification.
Make a positive difference in our communities as a Housing Officer in our Housing Management team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is committed to delivering an excellent, customer-focused housing service. No two days will be the same: the role involves managing a range of tenancy and estate matters, carrying out home visits, identifying residents’ housing and support needs, and helping tenants understand and meet the conditions of their tenancies.
Building positive, trusted relationships with residents will be central to your role. Working closely with colleagues across Housing Services and with statutory and voluntary-sector partners, you will help deliver successful outcomes for tenants and the wider community.
To succeed in this role, you should be an effective communicator and team player, with strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Experience in a housing-related role is desirable, along with an understanding of relevant legislation and the responsibilities of a social landlord. This may include tenancy support, allocations, homelessness, tenant involvement and estate management.
The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
