Alfreton Park is a lively, successful Special School for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, with severe and profound learning difficulties. We are looking to recruit two class teachers who have extremely high expectations to ensure children regardless of gender, ethnicity and religion achieve to the best of their ability.
Due to the continued increase in our student role and expansion of the school provision, we are currently looking for SEN Teachers to join our specialist team to create better outcomes and life chances for our students in their preparation for adult life. The post offers fantastic opportunities for an innovative SEN teacher with passion to bring further challenge and ambition to learning for learners with profound and complex needs.
The successful applicant needs to be able to respond our pupils’ learning levels and support pupils in all areas including self-help skills, physical interventions, personal care and a range of medical interventions.
Successful applicants must be able to lead a class team and have a clear understanding of how to differentiate work to suit the needs of our pupils. The ability to think creatively, inspire young people and have an appreciation of a sense of humour is essential.
Applicants need to have a love of learning, enjoy a challenge and have the ability to develop strategies in problem solving.
An informal tour of the school is available on request, please contact Jane Osment on 01773 483330 for further information.
