We are looking to recruit a part time Supervising Social Worker within the Fostering Support Team.
Casework responsibility will include ongoing support of our foster carers and supported lodgings hosts, and occasionally you may be asked to complete mainstream and supported lodgings assessments.
The Role includes:
– Supervising and Supporting foster carers enabling them to continue to meet the National Minimum Standards.
– Supervising and Supporting our Supported Lodgings hosts.
– Producing and presenting high quality, analytical annual review assessments of mainstream applicants or Supported Lodgings hosts, to evidence their ability to continue to care.
– Adhering to principals of electronic recording and demonstrate necessary IT skills.
– Working alongside other professionals within the team around the child, contributing to the best outcomes for children in care and ensuring the voice of the child is heard.
– Contributing to placement sufficiency and working with carers and other professionals to ensure placement stability.
– Working with carers in a therapeutic and creative way to offer packages of support to maintain placements with traumatized children.
– Supporting the provision of Skills to Foster Training.
– Offering flexible support to our foster carers, including taking part in the Out of Hours rota.
– Helping to run training, support groups and activities which can take place at evenings and weekends, in order to provide the best support to our foster carers.
