Hoarding Project Support Officer
Grade 5, £29,540 up to £33,699 per annum pro rata plus essential car user allowance of £850 per annum
37 hours per week, 18 month fixed term contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Hoarding Project Support Officer in our Private Sector Housing team. The district councils of Leicestershire partnered together in 2021 to pilot a project working with people with hoarding behaviours and offering support for their families. During the delivery of the project the team have identified ways to improve the service and this post will provide an additional resource for the team to further develop the ambitions of the service.
We are looking for an inspirational individual to help develop and to deliver a practical and pragmatic service and to facilitate the delivery of one-to-one interventions in homes to positively work towards de-cluttering. The successful candidate must actively promote the hoarding pathway and establish strong multi-agency links to help develop the service.
You will be working as part of a small team to further develop a toolkit of interventions and procedures to make the pathway easy to navigate for service users and professionals. You will be expected to work in cluttered environments regularly.
We are looking for someone educated to Level 4 or equivalent in social care, housing or environmental health or significant experience and in-house learning in one of the related areas.
We operate a ‘hybrid working’ model with a mix of office based, home and remote working available when suitable. The contractual base will be office based with agreed flexibility to work from home or at remote working locations in the borough.
