This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a key role in providing professional HR services to Managers, Heads of Services and Directors as the Council progresses through the next stage of the Local Government Reorganisation Programme.
 
The successful candidate will: 

Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness and compliance with employment legislation and Council policy
Coach and support managers to build confidence in handling people management issues and achieve practical, forward-looking solutions that are aligned to the Council’s priorities
Contribute to the wider work of the HR team, including organisational change, workforce planning, policy development, learning and development and HR systems improvement

 
We are looking for someone who:
 

Has substantial experience within a generalist HR role, including employee relations casework
Builds positive and credible relationships with managers at all levels of the Council
Provides professional, pragmatic and solution-focused advice
Has the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making
Is committed to continuous professional development
Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive HR team
