Lead Occupational Health Nurse
Salary up to £46,439
Start Date September 2025
Role Overview:
- Lead a team of Occupational Nurses and in-house counsellor.
- Support the council’s workforce of 10,000 across Derbyshire.
- Collaborate with Occupational Health physicians, counselling service, Health and Safety, and HR colleagues.
- Work with external customers, including Schools and District Councils.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and work clinically.
- Deliver face-to-face assessments, case management, workplace assessments, pre-employment screening, and health surveillance.
- Provide advice to colleagues and managers.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams internally.
- Based at County Hall, Matlock; report to Health and Safety Manager, Policy and Wellbeing Development.
- Interact with employees from various roles in diverse work environments.
- Travel around the county occasionally; driving is essential.

Ideal Candidate:
- Registered General Nurse with OH Diploma or Degree.
- Excellent communication skills.
