Key responsibilities:
– Undertake the role of Assistant Development Officer for the directorate providing project support to the Director, Assistant Director and rest of the team.
– Work in a collaborative and supportive manner with the Director, Assistant Director and rest of the team.
– Provide administrative support to identified major development project groups.
– Support the Director and Assistant Director by engaging in a collaborative manner with partnerships, local businesses and investors, participate in key initiatives, and provide professional and effective support to private sector boards and projects.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
– Experience of developing, leading and managing effective teams, setting clear objectives, providing constructive feedback and acting as a role model.
– Ability to develop new and creative approaches to service delivery.
– Experience of working / liaising with partner organisations.
– Experience of calmly making consistent, timely and risk-based decisions under pressure.
– Ability to manage and monitor budgets effectively.
– Experience of working independently and using own initiative with tasks and supporting management.
– A Level / Level 3 NVQ qualification in a relevant field or relevant demonstrable experience.
