Location: Flexible- Matlock County Hall, Chesterfield The Quad and Home based

Department: Corporate Services and Transformation

Division: Data Protection Team, Education Data Hub, Digital Services

The Education Data Hub is recruiting to a permanent post within the Data Protection for Schools Team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality data protection services for schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) across the country.

The role will centre on the coordination and delivery of high-quality support to multi-academy trusts (MATs), with a particular focus on Data Protection Audits and Compliance Reviews, supporting the relevant Data Protection Consultants. This includes preparing, collating, and analysing data, attending meetings, conducting site tours, and drafting reports. The postholder will also play a key role in onboarding new MATs—facilitating welcome meetings to explore the trust’s current data protection position, aspirations, and organisational structure, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders. They will also be responsible for producing and sharing annual Audit and Risk Committee report contributions.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive and flexible approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data protection and information governance.

Experience working with schools or MATs, delivering customer-focused services, and producing reports or communications is highly desirable.

Please note: The postholder may be required to travel and stay overnight to support audits, site tours, and MAT engagement activities. While the exact frequency is not known, it is expected to be no more than half a dozen times per year.

The Education Data Hub is an award-winning, customer-focused traded service that brings together Data Protection, Cyber Security, Online Safety, IT for Schools and Data Management services for all educational settings. The team is committed to making a meaningful difference, and this role offers the chance to be part of that.
