Can you demonstrate a balance of compassion, empathy and robust judgement to navigate the complexities of delivering on the resettlement agenda? If so, we want you to join our team as Strategic Lead – Supporting Communities.
This is a key role in a forward‑thinking council that punches above its weight and continues to deliver for its communities despite increasing financial pressures. This is a pivotal role where you will:
• Lead and motivate the Housing Options and Homelessness team.
• Ensure statutory compliance and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Manage the housing register system and Choice Based Lettings service.
• Develop creative solutions to prevent homelessness and reduce reliance on temporary accommodation.
• Champion partnership working across agencies and stakeholders.
• Take the lead on domestic abuse housing responses and resettlement programmes.
