Refuse Driver Chargehand

A motivated LGV C driver is required to join our Refuse/Recycling Collection Team. 

This role will have a particular emphasis on the Councils curbside refuse and recycling collection services, responsible for:

• Refuse loaders
• Vehicle defect reporting
• Vehicle condition and cleanliness
• Liaising with Supervisors and office staff
• Route scheduling
• Reporting of accidents and near misses 

An LGV C driving license and a current driver qualification card are essential. 

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday with a 05:45 start time, operating on a “task and finish” basis. Task is the completion of all collection rounds for that day. Overtime will be paid after 74 hours fortnightly.
