Are you a passionate and skilled cook who loves working in a fast-paced kitchen? 

Do you want to play a crucial role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to students and staff at Silver Linings School? 

If so, we want you to join our team in Pinxton! 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Cook to help prepare and serve high-quality, healthy meals for our school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our students. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals from fresh ingredients, following a set menu.
• Purchase ingredients from local suppliers to support our community.
• Ensure all food is prepared and stored in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and school team members. 

About You 

• You have previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a school or similar high-volume setting.
• Ideally hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher).
• You are passionate about providing healthy, balanced meals.
• You are a reliable, organised, and positive team player.
• You must hold a valid driving license to travel for local purchasing.

• Working hours are 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (some flexibility for school drop off)
• Monday to Friday. – Term time only.
