Senior Business Intelligence Officer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Business Intelligence Officer to support the delivery of two major transformation programmes within Children’s Services: Best Start in Life Family Hubs and SEND Reform. 

These programmes aim to improve outcomes for children, young people and families through earlier identification of need, improved access to support and more effective partnership working across education, health, early years, family support and local government services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining the data and reporting arrangements required to support both programmes. You will work with colleagues and partner organisations to understand their information requirements, identify and collect relevant data, and bring together information from multiple systems and sources.  The post will be based within Digital Services and will work alongside other colleagues within the Derbyshire Office for Data Analytics.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Working with services and partner organisations to understand and define their data and reporting requirements.
• Collecting, collating, validating and integrating data from a range of internal and external sources.
• Developing and maintaining accessible Power BI dashboards, reports and management information products.
• Supporting statutory, national and programme-specific data returns.
• Presenting clear and meaningful information to senior leaders, programme boards and multi-agency partnerships.
• Supporting consistent data definitions, data quality and reporting standards across participating services and organisations.
• Contributing to reporting solutions that support service improvement and better outcomes for children, young people and families.
