Two exciting opportunities have arisen to join the Public Health Department at Derbyshire County Council as Service Development Officers within the Localities Team.
There are two part-time roles available as follows:
Post 1: Chesterfield Locality, 2 days a week (14.8 hours per week) Based at the Quad Chesterfield with hybrid working
Post 2: High Peak Locality, 3 days a week (22.2 hours per week) Based in Buxton with hybrid working
These roles may be applied for either individually or together. Please clearly state within your application which role(s) you are applying for. Where a candidate is successful in applying for both roles, there is potential for these to be combined into one full-time post (37 hours per week). This role supports hybrid working, with a mix of office/ community and home-based working
The successful candidate will be passionate about reducing health inequalities and have a strong understanding of the wider determinants of health (often referred to as the building blocks of health) and how these can be used to improve the health and wellbeing of local populations. The role also requires experience of effective partnership working to achieve shared goals.
The post holder will work closely with the Derbyshire Public Health team, alongside a wide range of external stakeholders across Chesterfield and/ or High Peak, as well as internal stakeholders within Public Health and the Council.
