The Headteacher and Governors of Creswell Infant School are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our school.   The successful candidate will be passionate, proactive and committed to the wellbeing, safety and educational development of our children in school. 

This is a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant role, and the successful candidate will join our Nursery/EYFS team. 

This is a fixed term contract until the end of the Summer 2026. 

The ideal candidate will join us as soon as possible, or no later than the February term.

The role of a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant is varied, and includes: 

Supporting the Headteacher, and Class Teacher/Room Leader, across a range activities, which promote the learning and development of children. 

Supporting the class teacher/room leader to enable high quality teaching and learning. 

To help and provide learning support, with children who need specific support to overcome learning barriers. 

Act as a key worker, specifically supporting a small group of children, assessing their educational and emotional progress.    Building relationships with parents, developing trust.
