South Derbyshire District Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Visitor Information Manager to lead our Visitor Information Service and help grow the visitor economy of South Derbyshire and the National Forest.
Tourism plays an increasingly important role in South Derbyshire’s economy, supporting businesses, town centres and rural communities. Around one third of the National Forest lies within the district, attracting more than 8 million visitors each year. This is an exciting opportunity to help showcase the area and create memorable visitor experiences.
You’ll work closely with residents, visitors and a wide range of visitor economy businesses, including event organisers, accommodation providers, travel companies, leisure and retail enterprises.

What we’re looking for:
You will be required to work weekends and occasional evenings and Bank Holidays on a rota basis. A full, current driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
